The Modest Thai Restaurant

One day, there's this street with a barren corner, the next thing you know, it's a coffee shop, milk tea shop, or a restaurant serving delicious food. Well, we were lucky to wind up at Gov. M. Cuenco Ave. and saw Thai Asian Cuisine de Cebu. It can be overlooked if you're going fast on the road. However, this is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. When the time came that my stomach craved for hot soup on a cold night, this was the place we rushed to.

What we ordered:

Tom Yum soup - Php 160
Choice of shrimp/squid/mixed - mild/medium/extremely spicy
We requested for it to be medium spicy.
Their tom yum soup is better than the ones in Krua Thai and Siam (in my opinion) and at an affordable price.
One serving is good for 2-3 people.

Fried Seafood with Garlic Sauce - Php 90
You can choose how spicy you want it.
The garlic sauce is (cliche alert) "to die for". A must try. And better make it very spicy!

Pineapple Fried Rice - Php 80
Choice of pork/chicken
We had the Chicken, and it's yummmy!

Fried Spring Roll - Php 65
It's like Spring rolls with Bihon inside.
Crunchy but I don't recommend (or maybe I was too stuffed with the other three dishes to appreciate this). The sauce is good though.

Thai iced tea - Php 60 tall glass
Black milk tea.

You can find the menu here but prices are not up to date.

Gov. M. Cuenco Ave. (before Bright Academy)

How this craving for hot soup bore a hole thru Mustachio's pocket:
No need to grab your calculator, I have added everything up, and the total amounts to Php 455! And we had some spring rolls and soup leftover.

    1. The last time I ate there was March 2013. They were in front of Banilad Elementary School. I haven't passed by that place since... better call the number and check.
