March 17 - 21, 2011 - I went to the wonderful islands of Batanes ("wonderful" being an understatement) wherein I indulged myself in the scenic views, greeted friendly people, and lived a carefree life away from the hustle of the Metro.
With me is a sketch book and a pencil. Sketching some Batanes landmarks has been soul-enriching. Although these sketches are surely not the best, given only minutes to draw, the sheer feeling of putting the experience on paper was very fulfilling.
The Basco Lighthouse
The Stone Church: Mt. Carmel Chapel
The Mahatao Lighthouse
Fundacion Pacita
The Lighthouse at Sabtang
The Honesty Coffee Shop
