- friends who wasted some of their time with Mustachio while he was tramping in their town
- the little old Korean ladies who shared their umbrella while Mustachio and friends were waiting for the bus in the rain
- people who let Mustachio tag along to their hikes and foodtrips
- escaping the killer sardine can on wheels on the way back to Cebu City
- the negotiating skills of a friend
- noisy people in and outside the creepy lodge in Mambukal (complete silence would have made Mustachio's mustache stand on end)
- Couchsurfing
- the tuktuk driver who literally took the shirt off his back just so a friend could have the proper attire to enter the palace
- random people game enough to pose for a photo
- the kindness of strangers
- making it to the boat with a minute to spare
- strangers sharing their food—spaghetti and bread from Mr Guiller and peanuts from a fellow passenger
- Kawasan being off limits, discovered Canlaob River instead
- Babe for Food for the free eats
- legs that have taken Mustachio to the top of the Philippines
- Mr Jun Plaza for letting Mustachio camp on his turf and granting an interview too
- WiFi (how Mustachio found directions to Picobello) and perfect timing (got to Picobello while it was happy buy one take one pizza hour)
- getting invited to a cooking demo and taking home some of the dishes too
- everyone who has helped Mustachio find his way in a new place
- being in scallop land
- finding napoleones in Bacolod's neighbor
