Uncle Noodles

And another trip to Nodietland. Armed with a Groupon (I am a sucker for discounts), we marched to Uncle Noodles located at the lower ground (beside the parking lot really) of Two Mango.

With a friend in tow and my voucher good for Php 300 worth of food (bought for Php 140 only), we stuffed ourselves with the following:

Spicy Singaporean Laksa
Noodles in spicy, creamy, coconut milky soup, with a handful of shrimps and tofu.

Uncle's Special Spicy Dry Noodles
Broad flat noodles topped with everything - cabbage, mushrooms, bean sprouts (taogi), tofu, minced meat, dumpling (claims to have sharks fin in it...oh poor shark), shrimp, fish ball, char siu (roasted pork), teeny crispy dried fish - with a bit of sweet-spicy-parsley-ey sauce. Comes with a small bowl of broth too.
Not totally dry as what you'd expect

Meat Ball Siopao and Char Siu Siopao

Char Siu is their fancy name for pork asado

And yes, pineapple orange Fit n' Right for pantulak.

Lower Ground (near parking area) of Two Mango

Sundays to Thursdays 11AM - 11PM
Fridays and Saturdays 11AM - 1AM

Here's their menu (click on photos to enlarge)

Two weeks after, I came back for a quick noodle dinner. Uncle's Special Noodle Soup (Php 95) this time. I have to say the Uncle's Special Dry Noodles was way better. I was expecting the Uncle's Special Noodle Soup to have the same toppings as the Dry Noodles but no... it didn't have bean sprouts, mushrooms, and the dried fish :-( Soup was just a simple broth.

Next time I visit (yes, I will definitely be eating there again) I will stick with the Uncle's Special Dry Noodles.

    1. Yup! I absolutely love their Uncle's Special dry noodles. Not so much on the noodle soup. Anyway, the deal is still ongoing: http://www.beeconomic.com.ph/deals/cebu/uncle-noodle/715963740

  3. Finally! I could subscribe by email. I'm glad you change your layout. :) Anyway, I don't think I can ever try Spicy Singaporean Laksa. I can't tolerate spicy food. :( It looks yummy though.

    1. Thanks Synz! The dynamic layout was okay but it was waaaayyyy limited. So back to the classic one :-) Try the noodle soup, it's not spicy. My friend liked it. I love spicy food! hehe :))
